Multilanguage Text Placing Rules

Last edited: 03/07/2024

Multilanguage descriptions

Multilanguage descriptions should be placed on the back side of the packaging whenever possible, on white colour whenever there’s space. Remember to save some space on that side for barcode and any other graphics that are required on the design.

Example

  • Allowed size for this text is 5pt - 9 pt. text size should always be a round number adjusted by style

  • Whenever possible (if there’s space) text should be black and placed in a white band/box, divided in three columns

  • No other firm rules can be specified to this text block as there is too much variety

  • Each Language starts from new line (not necessary if not enough space on package)

Multilanguage placing exception examples

There are also certain exceptions as to when the multi language text should be placed without white strap, or when there is no back of the packaging so the text needs to be placed beside the front text and photo.
